Barb Trammell is the Chief Executive Officer for the Oregon Golf Association. She worked as a Rules Official for the LPGA from 1987 to 2005 and served on the USGA Rules Committee which negotiates the quadrennial changes to the Rules of Golf with the R & A. She was the first woman to be invited to officiate all four Men's professional majors.
Jamie Sumner is the Director of Competitions and Rules.


Rules seminar details:

Every four years the governing bodies of the sport meet to discuss and negotiate changes to the rules of golf as well as provide additional decisions to assist players and officials in interpreting the rules.


This year's seminar schedule will commence February 8-10 with 1-hour introductory seminars on Rules Changes for 2008 and will be held in conjunction with the Portland Golf Show at the Oregon Convention Center.


Attendees at these first sessions will have an additional opportunity to meet Barb Trammell, new Chief Executive Officer of the Oregon Golf Association. Trammell is an internationally respected Rules of Golf expert, having served on the USGA Rules of Golf Executive Committee from 1992 to 2005. It is this committee that works closely with the R & A to establish and interpret the Rules of Golf and the Rules of Amateur Status throughout the world. She is also one of the first women to have been invited to officiate at The Masters, U.S. Open, British Open and PGA Championship, all four Men's major professional championships.
